Your Run Sheet

The Home tab in the PoolAxis app is your run sheet for today. It shows all your jobs in the order your route has been set, with everything you need to get through the day.

How jobs are ordered

Jobs are listed by route number — the order your admin has set, or the order generated by the route optimisation tool. The number in the top-left of each job card shows where it falls in your sequence for the day.

What a job card shows

Each card shows:

  • Customer name and address
  • Pool type (chlorine, saltwater, or spa)
  • Any notes or warnings your admin has added (e.g. gate code, dog on property)
  • The job status — pending, in progress, or complete

Starting a job

Tap a job card to open it, then tap Start job. This marks the job as "in progress" and records the start time. Your admin can see the status update on the schedule in real time.

Completing a job

With the job open, fill in the chemical readings, add any notes, and attach photos if needed. When everything is done, tap Complete job. A service report is generated automatically and linked to the customer's record.

See Recording a Service for a full walkthrough of the job form.

Carried Over jobs

At the top of your run sheet, you may see a Carried Over section. These are jobs from previous days that weren't completed. Tap the section to expand it and see the list.

Carried-over jobs work the same as today's jobs — tap to open, start, and complete as normal. Your admin can also see which jobs are outstanding and may reschedule or reassign them.

If your run sheet is empty

If you have no jobs today, the Home tab will show an empty state. Check the Schedule tab to see if you have jobs coming up on other days, or contact your admin if you were expecting work today.

Job detail — before you start

Tap a job card to open the job detail screen. Before tapping Start job, review the information here to prepare for the visit.

  • Directions button — in the job header, tap Directions to open Apple Maps (iOS) or Google Maps (Android) with the pool address pre-loaded so you can navigate directly to the property.
  • Pool Specs — a row of small colour pills shows the pool's key details at a glance: volume (litres), surface area (m²), surface type (e.g. Tiled), pool type (Pool or Spa), and whether it is indoor or outdoor.
  • Access Notes — if the customer has gate codes, security warnings, or equipment notes, these appear in a yellow highlighted block. Read these before entering the property.
  • Last visits — the last 1–3 service records are shown, each with reading chips for pH, Cl, Alk, and LSI. Trend arrows (↑ ↓ →) show whether each reading has gone up, down, or stayed stable since the previous visit. Use these to spot potential issues before you arrive.
  • First visit tips — on a first visit, an expandable tips card appears with a checklist to help you gather everything you need: take photos, check equipment, record all readings, note access details, and ask about any known issues.

The Start job button is greyed out if the job is scheduled for a future date. You will not be able to begin the job until the scheduled date.
